It was also strange for the last ending to be happy when the others were either bittersweet or tragic, but the game is better with Ending E than without it, despite its flaws. Unfortunately, this causes the sacrifice that players made in Ending D to feel pointless. A giant flower blooms at the Forest of Myth, with the three main protagonists finally getting to be by each other's sides again after all hope seemed lost. She is willing to do anything to bring him back and finally achieves this, rescuing Nier, who has the appearance he did in the beginning of the game.
